Knitting Basics is the perfect introduction to this timeless craft. In this beginner friendly class, you'll learn foundational knitting techniques in a supportive environment designed to help you build confidence one stitch at a time.
This class will provide the knowledge and practice needed to begin creating simple projects on your own.
Location: Endangered Stitches® Studio, 315 Peck Street, New Haven, CT
(Building 6E, 3rd floor - Studio A - above Music Haven)
Please Note: This is a walk-up space with no elevator access.
- Hold knitting needles and yarn conmfortably
- Cast on stitches
- Create the knit stitch
- Maintain even tenstion
- Identify rows and stitches
- Bind off your work
- Troubleshoot common beginner mistakes
- Understand basic knitting terminology

- 1.5 hours of live instruction and demonstration in a group setting

Students are welcome to bring their own yarn and knitting needles if they prefer
